About This Service
MenACWY Meningitis Vaccine

MenACWY Meningitis Vaccine

The MenACWY vaccine protects against four groups of meningococcal bacteria (A, C, W and Y) that can cause meningitis and septicaemia. It is recommended for some travellers, including Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, and for some students. At Healthcheck Pharmacy in Bradford, our pharmacists provide the MenACWY vaccine as part of a private travel health service. We review your itinerary, health history and previous vaccinations, explain the schedule and any side effects, and give wider advice on staying healthy abroad. Book ahead of travel — some vaccines need to be given in advance or as a course. No GP referral needed.
