Accessibility Statement
Health Check Pharmacy Ltd is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technology or browsing environment. This statement applies to the Health Check Pharmacy website.
Our Aim
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have limited mobility, or have cognitive or learning disabilities.
What We Have Done
To improve accessibility we have:
- Used semantic HTML to ensure content is structured meaningfully
- Ensured colour contrast ratios meet WCAG AA standards throughout the site
- Added descriptive alt text to all informational images
- Designed all interactive elements to be operable by keyboard alone
- Ensured the site is usable at 200% browser zoom without loss of content
- Avoided auto-playing audio or video
- Provided visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved:
- Some older PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible — we are working to remediate these.
- Embedded third-party content (such as Google Maps) is outside our direct control and may not fully meet WCAG standards.
We are actively working to address these limitations. If you encounter a barrier we have not listed, please let us know.
